Grist — A Beacon in the Smog

The Great Green March aims to bring lasting change to our world by uniting our nation on the most pressing concerns of our time.
We issue a call to the citizens of the United States – and to people and experts from around the globe - to join as marchers, cyclists, and drivers of alternative-fuel vehicles from Portland, Oregon to Washington, DC.

Along the way we will hold a nationwide ‘conversation’ on sustainability - loosely defined as the way we all live and manage our resources.

Everywhere we stop, and even as we journey, The Great Green March will provide support, demonstrate, and educate local populations in creating the necessary paradigm shift for a sustainable world. We will make sure to highlight local green efforts as well as challenge individuals and governments to create measurable change.

If you're enthusiastic about our project and good at organizing and
coordinating, we'd love to hear from you.

In addition, we are looking for people in the following (skill) areas: logistics, fund raising, (technical) project management, green city planning, human resources, marcher recruiting, account management, public relations, financial controller, marketing, graphic design, artistic illustrations, web technology/development, event planning, outreach/networking, copy writing, political science, and administrative assistants.

The right candidates for these positions will have a minimum of 4 to 8 hours a week available.
